Hi guys,

its been a while since you got updates.I didnt even keep the community up to date with what has been going on.

Soo i want to apologise for that. Some of you are disappointed and lost their fate
in this project.

I am still alive and continue my work. Current progress is slow but i will improve the progress speed and need your help for it.
But i will talk about that later.
Many of you will wonder about what has happend since beta 2.5 and why there are no update since then.
Some of you already know that i completly rewrote the rendering code.
And i was also investigating for new techs for ShugenDo.

I thought about ShugenDo and come to realize that it has to offer more than mugen.
So i worked on some new stuff and have to have it tested.

Lets come to the part on what i was/am working.

As usual i fixed a lot of Bugs and some memleaks.
So thats not very interesting for you.

Lets come to the benifits of the render code rewriting.

-HD Res up to 1920 x 1200
-32Bit Image support
-Fullscreen GFX effects via Shaders
You can write your own fullscreen shader effects like filters or other fancy shaders.
ShugenDo will include 2 filter shaders. Scale2x and hq2x as shaders.

-new better optimzed image containers ( next gen SFF  files ) for better memusage and faster loading times.
-zoom in/ out
-True color video playback

Here are some other features i am working on.
-new interactive ingame debbuger

-Stage script and Stage physics.

Beta for beta testers

Hi to all of you ShugenDo fans.

The beta tester got their beta to test. So currently we test the lates beta of ShugenDo. Also for this i need some help to speed up the beta testing progress. It would be nice when some one could code a char uploader. Here you can upload your chars with a test report.So we could have a database of chars and their problems. Those chars would be only available for beta testers and me. Also ShugenDo user with more expirence with ShugenDo could fix the chars to make them ShugenDo compatible.

When you are a skilled php coder and think you can make some thing like this please PM me on the forum. You have PHP and MySql to code.

Some of you already wonder what is happening in the background.

Gues what i am still working on ShugenDo :). Today it is exactly one year since the first ShugenDo port to the PSP. So i decide to release beta 3 and a port of Beta 3 for the PSP some time in may.


I added a  lot of new stuff into ShugenDo but you will not see all those new stuff in beta 3. I will also release a modifyed beta 3 with the new Stage dessign concept where you can define your stage physics enviorment like seen as in the platform test youtube video.
 

Beta3 will include improved camera movemnet and a zooming stage example. As usal you will see some compatiblity improvements.

ShugenDo also move to Bitmap fonts and supports unicode charackter encoding. I will also try to write some tutorials on how the new xml format look likes or how you archive the zooming abbilty in stages.
